Magnificent Location

Fantastic Accommodation

With nothing between the house the sea and the point this can all be appreciated in quiet comfort from a deep sofa or sunny day bed on the upstairs balcony, or for the adventurous, diving into the ocean or scrambling around the point scrutinising rock pools with the crisp salty sea air chilling sun warmed skin.

Fall asleep to the sound of Black Oystercatchers calling to each other from the rocks just outside the bedroom window or seals barking arguments over who is king of the rock under dark skies filled with stars where the moon over the sea creates millions of its own on the surface of Bay.

With leather furniture in an expansive lounge with phenomenal surround views from all 3 sides, and a luxurious patio overlooking the sea.

Rocky Point occupies an exceptional position at the base of a headland, with it's own peninsula around which whales and dolphins regularly swim and Cape Fur Seals laze. With all these wonderful creatures seen close to the shore as they cut the corner of the bay heading for the open sea. Endearing African Penguins swim past on their way home at the nearby colony in Pringle Bay, occasionally stopping for a rest just in front of the house. Days can be tranquil with the bay at the foot of the house glassy and still or, when the big storm driven south west swells come through, ground-shaking waves crash into the rocks metres from the house making a spectacular sight.

Around the house, Cape Dassies sun themselves on the rocks, troops of habituated Baboon munch on proteas, Wild mice dart into holes in the rocks and hosts of seabirds call to each other. In the morning evidence of night-time visits of Cape Otter is on the grass showing they had a successful harvest from the rocks in front of the house. Venturing out at night gives you a good chance of seeing the rarely seen creatures.
